Women's Learning Partnership

Women’s Learning Partnership for Rights, Development, and Peace (WLP) is an international network of 20 autonomous nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) based in the Global South, dedicated to enhancing universal human rights and gender equality, strengthening civil society, and training and supporting women to become leaders and advocates for a just, peaceful, and democratic world. The Partnership produces curricula and learning tools and conducts culturally-specific trainings on democratic participation and leadership to help women adopt greater leadership roles at the family, community, and national levels. Our resource materials—including books, documentary films, and multimedia curricula—are available in 20 language adaptations and are being used in over 40 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

The WLP Digital Collections, available here through the Internet Archive, contain multilingual documents and multimedia content including books, training curricula, personal interviews, documentary films, recorded events (video and audio), and other resources collected and maintained by WLP since its inception. Our goal is to preserve and amplify the work of activists, scholars, and leaders in the global women’s rights movement and to provide learning materials for current and future leaders. The collections’ rich primary and secondary source materials date from circa 1980 to the present.
